HAPPY BIRTHDAY JORDAN

I can't believe he's three. Check out these two pictures taken 1 year apart at the same place (Gattitown), and in the same pink jeep!

Brothers

Jordan was being very sweet to Trevor tonight. He wanted to hold him, but Trevor wasn't really into that. They were sitting together very content, but of course, I only got pictures of Trevor crying.

Three!

Jordan turns three on Wednesday, but we celebrated at Gattitown on Sunday:

Trevor had a wardrobe change. For some reason, everytime Auntie holds him, he spits up A LOT.

Despite the inconvenience, he enjoyed the party. He spent a lot of time lounging on the couch:

Playing at the softball game

Here's Jordan and his friends playing at my firm's softball game:

Trevor's Girlfriend

Our Recruiting Coordinator at work has a beautiful little girl named Holly. She and Trevor are quite fond of each other already. Here she is staring at him intently and even holding his hand (she initiated it!). Look closely at how similar they are in size. Believe it or not, she is 6 months old.

The Bluegrass Fair

Jordan and his friend Lance went to the Bluegrass Fair on Monday night. They both had a great time. Jordan wasn't sure what to think of some of the rides and actually looked pretty terrified on some of them, but he got off every one wanting to ride another.

A trip to Danville

We went to visit some friends in Danville on July 5. They had a little parade honoring the local veterans. We went with Alissa and her son, Avery and Amy (Alissa's sister) who was in town from South Carolina with her three kids (Brady, Hannah and Logan).

For whatever reason, Jordan didn't want to get out of the stroller for these pictures.

My son, the car afficianado

I've decided that I don't do enough writing on this blog. I need to do a better job of chronicling the cute things my boys do. Especially Jordan. He is at that age where he is really showing his personality and his tendencies toward particular interests.

On that note, he loves cars. He will be three in a few weeks and he can already identify cars by make and model as we are driving down the road. For instance, my sister has a black Altima and every time we pass an Altima, if it's black, he'll say, "Mommy, that's Auntie's car," and if it's not black, he'll say, "Mommy, that's like Auntie's car." He can spot a Dodge Durango (my car) from just about anywhere and he loves his daddy's Jeep. But he really threw me for a loop the other day. I have known for a while that he knows what car all of the teachers at his school drive. We'll pull in the parking lot and he'll say, "there's Ms. ___'s car." I have also known that he is obsessed with his Auntie's boyfriend's Ford truck. I had no idea he had quite the attention to detail that he does though - the other day, we pulled up to the school and had this conversation:

Jordan: "Mommy, there's Whitney's car (referring to the Ford Explorer parked beside us). It has a tank like Lucas's truck."

Me: "A tank? What are talking about Jordan?"

Jordan: "They have the same tank. You don't have it mommy."

Me: "Jordan I don't know what you're calling a tank."

Jordan (as we are getting out of my Durango): "Come here, I'll show you."

Jordan walks around to the back of the Ford Explorer and points to the Ford emblem. "See Mommy, it has the same tank as Lucas's truck."

He recognized by the very small Ford emblem on the back of the Explorer, that Whitney's vehicle is the same make as Lucas's truck, and that mine, a Dodge, was different. Maybe I'm just a mom who thinks her kid is really smart, but I really do think that's pretty unbelievable. Scary and a little weird might be a better description.

Baseball

My cousin Lindsay and I took our boys to the Legends game tonight. Here are some pictures of the boys enjoying all the fun stuff at the park (there wasn't a lot of baseball watching):

More Vacation Pictures

Here are some more pictures that I just uploaded from Daddy's camera:

We went to the Hofbrauhaus one afternoon and Jordan made friends with the accordian player:

A very sweet picture of Daddy and Jordan in the pool:
My favorite:

Jordan and Nana - Nana didn't want me to get her in any pictures in her bathing suit, so I don't have one where you can actually see her face, but I have to mention that she will be 60 in December. If I look like this at 60, I will beg people to take pictures of me!
