Ice Storm

In case you don't live near us, here's what it looks like outside our house right now. Luckily, we still have power. Many people here in Lexington, and even more in Louisville and the western part of the state don't. I have friends in Louisville who have moved their families to hotels. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose your power this time of the year . . especially if you were one of the thousands of people who don't have anywhere to go and can't afford a hotel.

This is in our front yard.

This is also in the front yard and near the neighbor's house. I was so scared some of the limbs were going to fall in our bedroom window or onto the neighbor's house.

Clearly, there was no playing on this in our backyard today.

This is also in our backyard.

Laughing Baby

As you can see, Trevor drools A LOT, but he also likes to laugh, and I LOVE laughing babies:

Christmas Morning

It took a while for Jordan to find the big present from Santa. You might remember that he had the same problem last year, and like this year, also noticed the coloring book first. That's hysterical, because he's really not all that interested in coloring books.

Christmas

As you can see, we didn't have any presents at our house this Christmas.

This was the big gift from Santa for Jordan. He is obsessed with Thomas, so he was so excited! (Santa has a great elf named Nana, by the way).

Here's Jordan tearing into one of his gifts.

In case you were wondering, Santa brought Trevor gifts too.

We spent the second half of the day at Nana's. This is a classic Trevor look.

And I know he will hate me for this one day, but I couldn't resist. Auntie put a bow from one her presents on his head.

Sunday Dinner

I feel like I'm always posting pictures from Cracker Barrell, but it is one of our favorite kid-friendly places to eat. I think this is from the Sunday before Christmas.

An update

It has been forever since I posted, I know. Lots of things have happened since the last post. Probably most significantly, Auntie got married. Below is a picture they took of themselves on their wedding day. They went to Gatlinburg, by themselves, and had a very nice ceremony. She has sent me more pictures and I will see if I can find a way to post some of them here. I wish I could have been there, but they really wanted to do it this way and they are so happy. We are thrilled to have Uncle Lucas as a part of our family and CAN'T WAIT to welcome Abigayle Grace in just a few weeks!

One Saturday, when I was going particularly stir-crazy and needing to get some things done at my house, I invited cousin Will over to come play and hopefully, entertain Jordan. I'm not sure what made me think that would help me get anything done, but it certainly was fun watching them play together.

Here' s some pictures of best friends, Daddy and Jordan, hanging out on the couch. You might notice that Jordan is wearing a Run DMC t-shirt. Trevor has one too, but I haven't been able to get a pcitre of them wearing them together. I saw the shirts in Target and just couldn't resist. They were an early Christmas present for Daddy :)
