Trick or Treat

Last night, we went trick or treating. Both Daddy and Jordan dressed up like firemen. Daddy's costume was especially convincing because he borrowed it from the local fire department. The neighbors now think he is a fireman.

The costumes presented a little bit of a dilemma. The reflectors prevented the use of a flash (or if I used one, I just got a big blur), so I had to turn it off and some of them are a little fuzzy.

Here's Jordan ready to go out the door with him pumpkin. "Mommy, let's go get candy at some people's houses." ("some people" is his reference to anyone he doesn't know)

Jordan loved going to people's doors and getting candy. We have such a polite child that we couldn't convince him to say "trick or treat" because every time we asked, "what you do you say?", his response was "Thank you."

Jordan's boots were a little heavy and in general, he just didn't understand the hurry. It took us about half an hour to make it around the block once, so after that, we decided to come back and hand out candy.

Here are my two handsome boys eating some candy together . . . .

Chocolate is the clear favorite and it tastes much better when it's on your face as well as in your mouth . . .

Mommy got to join in on the fun too.
